Workshop “Cataloguing library resources: challenges and sharing the best practice”
Within the framework of the Annual Library Week, in April 26th the Department of Cataloguing and Classification of Iliauni library will conduct workshop “Cataloguing library resources: challenges and sharing the best practice”.
The aim of the workshop is to analyze challenges and come up with solutions through understanding and discussing the best practices of other leading institutions in the field; sharing the department’s experience in MARC21 format and RDA rules with other libraries; establishing and developing future cooperation between the libraries of Ilia State University and Tbilisi State University as well as between the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and National Scientific Library in order to share experience and issues of the departments of cataloguing and classification.
On this occasion the regular event will take place in a widened format; the staff of the department as well as the cataloguers from the other libraries will participate in it.
