The New England Journal of Medicine is issued by the medical society of Massachusetts. It is considered as one of the leading reviewed medical journals. The aim of The New England Journal of Medicine is to provide the medical society with high quality information in theoretical as well as clinical practice, in maximally clear format. The journal incorporates works where the focus lies on the medicine of inner organs and its sub occupational studies like, cardiology, emergency medical service, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, immunology/allergy, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurology/neurosurgery, lung treatment and rheumatology. The online version of the journal, the website, has been operating since 1996 and it has issued abstracts on research articles each week, offered users full-size printed materials, cases and letters to the editor. The online journal expanded after 2 years and users could access every full-size article.
