eHRAF World Culture and eHRAF Archaelogy

We would like to notify you that from January 2019 users of the Library of Ilia State University can access two modules of the scientific database – eHRAF World Culture and eHRAF Archaelogy.
Human Relations Area Files (HRAF) is an internationally acknowledged organization in the field of cultural anthropology. It was established at Yale University in 1949. The goal of the HRAF is to facilitate intercultural study of a human’s culture, society and behavior. HRAF includes two electronic scientific databases for the purpose of teaching and research. These are: eHRAF World Culture and eHRAF Archaelogy.
The basic characteristics of the database are: organization of ethnographic data according to a region, sub-region and cultures; search instruments incorporate simple as well as complex search in regard to culture, title or topic. Complete overview involves such topics as are: economics, history and cultural relations, family and relatives, social-political organization, religion.

You can use the scientific databases employing the computers that are connected to the network of Ilia State University or from any other remote place.
Associate professor of Ilia State University Ketevan Gurchiani, within the contest, procured a one-year right to access the aforementioned database.
