In the spring of 2010 the Ilia State University Library planned and executed the project of matching catalogue cards with digitized inventory magazines of Armenian publication belonging to the funds of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani reading-hall.
Colleagues with relevant competence were invited to implement the project. They classified the books of the Armenian fund. The department of cataloguing, as well as Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani fund repository librarians participated in the process. The combined results of the work were sent to the expert of Armenian culture for study.
Publications that contained old contents and those books that were damaged or lost were separated from the fund. Units left without inventory number were given to the department of cataloguing for the purpose of numbering. Altogether, 3094 Armenian books were processed.
