Significance: The ability to access scientific electronic bases promotes the dissemination and sharing of information and experience accumulated in various modern scientific fields, integration of research and teaching processes, and raising the quality of teaching and learning.
Purpose: The participants will be able to master the search tools of scientific electronic databases and use them in practice.
Participants: Representatives of Ilia State University (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral students, employees) and other interested persons.
Number of participants: 8-10
Duration: 1 hour, 30 minutes
Structure of the Training:
The trainings offered by the library are divided into two categories:
- General training, which provides information to the participants about all electronic databases purchased by the university, as well as introducing search tools for one specific database, namely JSTOR.
- Trainings on specific databases include a separate discussion of search tools for each database.
Registration:
In order to participate in the training, it is necessary to register in advance, for this the person wishing to participate in the training must fill out the registration form, where it is possible to select one or several electronic databases simultaneously. Personal data collected during registration will be used only for direct purposes (registration and statistics) and will not be transferred to third parties without agreement with the owners.
After the groups are recruited, the date of the training will be set and the registered applicants will receive information about the time and venue of the training.
